When we think about a web site design, more than anything else we think about the site's audience.
We believe the web, first and foremost, is a task-focused, functional place. Good web site design is guided by this; approaching a web site in this way yields the most successful results. One of the opportunities web design offers is the chance to convey information to an audience in a way that best suits them. Think about that and you realise that's fantastic - for the audience and the site owner.
Normally, we start by working with you on organising your site's content. This is the foundation. With that
in place, if it is (technically) put together correctly, then pretty well anyone can use it. Font sizes can
be changed to match eyesight, images can be turned off, a site's text can be read aloud or rendered in
braille, someone who can't use a mouse can still move around a page - and so on. This is what we can
do for your audience - and you.
Yes, there are regulations about 'web site accessibility' which we can help you with, but that shouldn't be the point. The point is to make all of your potential audience happy. And in our experience, a happy site audience means a happy site owner.
